The Not-Little Sin of Complaining The desert stretched endlessly before them. Eliab stood outside his family's tent and shielded his eyes from the bright morning sun. The camp was already buzzing with activity. Thousands of people packed their belongings while children ran between tents. Sheep bleated. Camels groaned. Dust swirled through the air as everyone prepared to move once again. At the center of the camp stood the Ark of the Covenant. Nearby, Moses raised his hands toward heaven.
